The entire EV industry is hiding the real cause of failure. It's not the price, range, charging speed, or software faults. It's the fire hazard that no one wants in their garage, even if the risk is fairly low. Petrol cars don't do this and thereby endanger the whole house. Actually, for a first effort the VW in most cases is quite good, but they have suffered many fires even before delivery. When the industry solves this problem with a reliable Solid-State battery, sales will rise, and VW will be back in the black. The LG resistive membrane is unlikely to be a complete solution.
