I agree with SilverCloud's opinion of the heavy-handed chrome addition on the '56 Chev over the '55. Perhaps a question for DavidBurrell; have a look at the three years of those Chevrolets in their bare state - the One-Fifty two door sedan. They were near the bottom of the pile (only the Utility Sedans with no rear seats were the ultimate poverty pack) and the '55 was by far the plainest of the three. DavidB - did they do the basic design first before adding the chrome, or did they start with lots of brightwork before taking it all off for the lowest priced cars?
