Thanks for the link, smackeyacky. It is a long manifold and who knows what the bolts are like in that soft alloy head. I was thinking to wire brush and treat the visible parts then leave the engine heat do the rest. Your suggestion of Crisco is likely a better choice. In the meantime, work on the HQ is progressing. I am awaiting some connectors and a pair of pliers to arrive for work on the seat. I bought some zig zag springs a few days ago. I will commence cleaning the exposed parts of the frame to make it all look good. Then I will have a closer look at how to accomplish the job. The repair shop have replaced sections of the floor pan and sent some photos. I am pleased with their progress.
