Thanks guys. It's great to read such fond memories being expressed here about the Mk II. I reckon it's a real sleeper in this country. And thanks Pete888 for reminding me about Jim McKeown's old workshop at Kilsyth in those days, when the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne still had a lot of gravel roads. Apparently Jim did a roaring trade replacing cracked windscreens and punctured tyres for tourists returning from scenic drives in the Dandenongs. Here's a pic that Jim and Toni dug out for me recently of his workshop in its heyday. Hard to believe it's the same site where Phil Munday's panel shop is today.
