Hi again dbelli;..congratulations on your choice.I would add to every thing else said by others in here suggesting you join a Holden car club. You may already have it mind, but if not go for it. You'll have the benefits of club members knowledge to draw on, social events, and quite often discounts on needed parts and pieces. If you live in the Melbourne area I can put you in touch with my brother. He's a motor bike guy and also works on his kids vehicles, he has a lathe and other machinist tools and has fabricated the occasional needed part.Anyway, congrat's again and enjoy your new-old ride..."Boomer'...
Thanks boomer I'd love to get in contact with someone that knows and can help me out potentially. I was going to perhaps put it on club rego with my motorcycle club (as I know they also do cars) the Classic Custom and Japanese MC, got my lovely restored CB550 with them but a club dedicated to old holdens would be great for assistance and people with much more know how. As for upholstery I completely agree. I'll get it done because A; it looks a little sloppy and b; I wouldn't want the responsibility of my passengers getting gauged by the old springs or something hah but for a roady it bemuses me
