Johnh875 the Lago may have done it but the 240k also managed it. Straight from one of the owners in the group c logbook, and confirmed by a former DRT mechanic. The car certainly wasn't a slouch, but was built with torque in mind. The philosophy behind the build was to be strong up the mountain, and across the top. The V8's were always going to cause issues down the long conrod straight. This was all from the mechanic who set the car up for Doug Whitford, himself a former team manager of DRT in the late 60's. I know because I bought a few of the original parts of him to put back onto this car! I had the 240K out at the recent Sandown 500 to support Supercars Retro Round
