I would have to say Ford's stunning Wild Violet with contrasting gold side-stripes on an XY Falcon GT was a match made in heaven! I remember not being mad about this colour in the early 1970s, because at the time I was a kid and seriously besotted with the factory GT-HOs with their Brambles Red/Vermilion Fire war paint. However, I've since grown to adore this brilliant purple/gold combo, particularly with contrasting white upholstery.
