Funny memories here of how so many Aussie paddock-bashers were created, often by young blokes 'repurposing' old cars into stripped-down specials that provided limitless fun. Reminds me of an old Austin 7 that a kid called Peter Brock chopped-up (with his mother's axe apparently) into his first car. He learned a lot about car control in that little jalopy!
