Interesting topic LX355. If we're including competition engines, there's no question the Ford-Cosworth DFV 3.0-litre V8 was the most successful engine in Formula One history. After making its GP debut in 1967, the DFV (Double Four Valve) won 12 of the next 15 world championships between 1968 and 1982 (only Ferrari's V12 stopped a clean-sweep) and won a staggering total of 155 Grands Prix. What a legend!
