Great review David, I noted my comment from 3 months ago and still feel disappointed the VBW did not reach fruition. I wasn't fussed on some of the suggested grilles on the clay model concepts, they looked like afterthoughts, but one of your photos (below) looks mighty fine to me. The rear view was neat too. A larger Commodore / Calais / Caprice would have had nice presence I think. Cheers! My favourite design (your photo) below:
