1952 Ferrari Type 500 acquired by Tony Gaze directly from Ferrari with the intention of racing in Australia and New Zealand. Tony drove the car to third place in the 1955 NZ Grand Prix, going one place better in the 1956 event behind Stirling Moss. Later sold to his good friend Lex Davison who used the Ferrari to win both the 1957 and 1958 Australian Grand Prix. As a worn out and obsolete racing car the Ferrari barely survived being cut up in the mid 1960s.
