The XR would appeal more to me in stock form, a Mustang even more so, but for someone who is cashed up and has that desire, good luck to them. We cannot take our money with us to the other side. Your red Mustang is a dream car. What are the specs of your engine and driveline? Going auto was a good choice. When I went for the Commodore in auto, even though a manual would have better retained/appreciating value, it was not just for ease of driving but also to avoid the clunky drivetrains that I have noticed in manual V8 Commodores and other brands.
