This post reminded me of a story I wrote for the Shannons Club's Racing Garage series, about the last Cortina to compete in the Bathurst 500. That was the 1971 race and the lone dealer-entered TC 2000L four-speed had a faultless run, back in the days when you could do the full race on a set of Michelin road radials.
