Thanks for posting the video, Mark. Bittersweet but great to see how the team effort started with the workers on the production line. I had an VS Acclaim in Sherbrooke Green exactly as in the 9th photo in your post. I chose it as a family car as it came with dual airbags and ABS brakes. It was very nice to drive; smooth riding, quiet, gutsy and the seats very comfortable. I optioned it with power windows and antenna. The engine note when revved was good too as the first production run of VS V6s had a dual exhaust system up to the rear muffler. I agree with you in regard to the VR/VS being the best looking of the VN generation. The design flowed from front to rear, the headlights were very fashionably slim(and still with glass lenses rather than plastic) and the wheel tracks were just right.
Thanks AAACV8. Great to know you had such an enjoyable ownership of your Sherbrooke Green VS Acclaim. I drove several press cars during that time and my memories of the driving experience are similar to yours. I also think the VR/VS was one of Holden's best-looking V8 Supercars, topped only by the VT/VX that followed.
