Hey LaserLad, those shots of Amon's car bring back some great memories of the Tasman Series. So many of the world's greatest drivers -including Chris Amon of course - spent their northern winters racing in our southern summers in the 1960s. I don't think Australia has ever fully appreciated how lucky we were to see superstars like Clark, Hill, Stewart etc performing in our own backyard each year. Amazing stuff. I also share a soft spot for the iconic 308 GTB and even more so for its ferocious 288 GTO derivative (see pics). It was supposed to compete in Group B sports car racing but the whole Group B category (race and rally) was axed in 1986. What a monster that was - 2.8 litre V8 twin-turbo, 0-100km/h in 5.0 seconds and a top speed of 300km/h. Less than 300 built and I'm told another Enzo personal favourite.
