Here is something a little different, Ford’s proposed Nucleon nuclear fission powered car from the fifties. It is a very scary proposal. More of a nightmare than a dream. The cab is forward away from the reactor, but that distance would not stop you from becoming fried from the radiation. Just being a pedestrian near the thing would shorten your life. A crash would become Chernobyl and the whole suburb would have to be evacuated. At the end of its life it would have to be encased in concrete for a couple of hundred years. The good part is that they proposed it to have drop in reactors enabling it to travel 5000 miles. It would also not produce any CO2 and contribute to the greenhouse effect.
