Whilst not to be compared with the ProAm series of 83 and 84 the fact remains that Alfa Romeo Racing in Australia continues in 2024 with the recent Round 1 at SMP... included in that field was indeed another 'flying banana' 1981 Alfasud. The developing Alfa Romeo Twin Spark Cup series which, like the Alfasud Series of 40 years ago, requires all cars to be logbooked Series Production 3E providing similar close competition of yesteryear. At the 2023 Winton Festival Of Speed the Alfa grid consisted of some 30 entrants spanning nearly 50 years between the 'oldest (105) and 'newest' (Giulietta QV) Alfa - Round 2 of the 2024 Calendar moves to The Bend where entrants from South Australia, NSW and Queensland will do battle once again ... Alfa Romeo Racing .. alive and well in 2024
