My most memorable nostalgic car memory is split into two. as a kid in high school, it was the mighty Ford GTHO phase 3. But there was always my grandfather driving his Jaguar XK120. But these both were simply blown away by the Kawasaki Z1-900. Prior 1972 Honda had already smashed the Triumphs and BSA bikes with the performance that was unheard of before from a production bike, with its easily identifiable sound they ruled with the CB750K1. In 1972 the Kawasaki Z1-900 came out and did to the Honda as it had done to the British bikes. It took many years for another manufacturer to topple the Kawasaki. Then there was also, Kawasaki Triples 750, 500, 350 which for the time were very close to the GP 2 strokes only found on GP circuits. So really, for it can only ever be the Z1-900.
