Looking at google images of Bentleys of the time, I still reckon they found some french lights at a swap meet to put on there! Explains the exhaust too. And interesting example with the 1931 hotchkiss photo if you look at the rounded lip and heavier look to the guard edge, which became common from late 20's and the thinner edges like on the movie car was earlier in the 20's generally
