A good joke, but the Mayflower was quite underpowered like most English cars at the time. However its charm was not how fast it accelerated but that a little car could be luxury enough to suit a London doctor. Real leather seats, Chrome solid brass window frames, Chrome Radiator shell & emblem. In Black it was like a baby Rolls for the city. It certainly had more status appeal than the Herald, and lasted longer.
