Another over the air update arrived early this morning. This version gave the ability to better predict range to a specific destination based on humidity, ambient temperature, headwinds and crosswinds. Very clever. The other noticeable improvement is that visualisation and interpretation of surrounding traffic has improved. Other vehicles are more detailed and it recognises door apertures. The internal camera now monitors for inattention while using Autopilot. I suspect in the background it is using City Self-Driving that is available in North America. While not yet active here, it is likely comparing its own predictions to the driver's actions and then reporting inconsistencies back to the home base 'HAL 9000' to sharpen the self-driving systems.
