I couldn't agree more DrJohn - there's nothing like immersing yourself in an old magazine and being taken back in time where you have a feel and empathy for the past. Far better than reading it on a computer screen! The articles I loved were the comparisons, lovely comments like 'the things they forgot' and windscreen wiper patterns done with the help of Bon-Ami spread across the screen. (If you're too young to know what Bon-Ami is, ask your granny...) Here are a few examples from the early '60s.
