My 1986 Corvette was my favourite (read affordable) convertible that gave a beautiful exhaust sound from the Chevrolet 350 engine and the good looks of the svelte body. The clamshell bonnet drew attention whenever it was raised and many people complimented me on the car. The fact that it did not have a boot or even a glovebox we’re not of any concern as they joy it gave cruising along a beach road negated the small annoyances. I still miss it.
