Mark, I reckon the GTR-X would have been a HUGE hit globally (but obviously we have no export to speak of if you believe those who must be obeyed). Britain would have taken to it and I believe Europe would have loved it. But Japan would have gone into conniptions over it methinks. Toyota had the sexy 2000GT and Datsun the 240Z so the GTR-X would have fallen into that niche very nicely. I don't think the yanks would have warmed to it although at the time we had the fuel crisis so it may well have been on the mark there too. What a wasted opportunity.
