I'm interested in the output of this thing but I suspect there are a few games / shortcuts going on under the hood. It doesn't seem to be doing a whole lot of thinking, just a lot of searching. If you use the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine as the start image, set it to 100% drawing influence it basically just returns the same image. Here is the result when you set the image influence to 40%. To me it has done a big search and found something...close-ish and modified that. If you set the prompt to "van" and the image influence to under 50% it basically just seems to steal an image from the internet.
