Google says a Brougham is a closed carriage with an open driver compartment. I thought it might be a place name (like Newport, Riviera, Cortina etc) but nope. None of those cars have an open drivers compartment unless you count opening the window. Been digging around on the internet looking for things for my old 1992 Triton and found that in the US it was called the "Mighty Max" which is a lot more fun than the made up "Triton" word.
