I was a dedicated Ford fan from childhood, given my dad and granddad were into Fords. The blue oval was immensely exciting when I was at such an impressionable age during the late 1960s-early 1970s Bill Bourke era with GT-HOs, Super-Roos, 351 V8s, Goodyear, Autolite, BP, Bathurst, Allan Moffat, etc. What a melting pot! However, as Ford moved to cardigan-and-slippers mode in the 1980s, that passion began to fade and I started to appreciate other makes. These days I have no strong allegiance to any brand. I'm just a car lover full stop!
