Hi Mark ,Enjoyed that article on the Mister2,i was part of the team that drove "the other" MR2 in 1993 at the 12 hr. For us it was an evil handling car as any lateral load on the rear and the tail lights were trying to take over from the front so suddenly. We actually bought the suspension from Colin bonds original MR2 and it just did not work on our car and try as we might we could only tame it so much. Still those brakes as you said lasted the whole race and we stood on them hard as we liked for 12 hours. That era of Bathurst 12 hour racing for people like me who loved production car racing as it was then ,was my most enjoyable racing period and club racers like us were able to race on the same grid as Perkins ,Johnson, Brock, Seton, Grice, Skaife , Jones and the like and while some dismissed us ,good ol Brockie would give us the time of day to inpart some of his knowledge on star struck club racers like myself. I still get a kick to tell people I beat Perkins and Johnson in 93 at Bathurst and Brock and Lowndes in 94!.What I don't say is they all DNF and Craig was in a Nissan Pulsar!! Fun times
