Quite frankly, I don't think anything they did in the US or here was any great shakes to the front end of the VE-VG Valiant or Dart - it was all pretty ordinary. The only exception, in my opinion is the VF which was well executed, using a brushed aluminium look for the grille, giving it a more 'important' look, only to revert to a bland look for the VG. The VE VIP didn't look like a top-of-the-line car should, unlike the Fairmont and Premier. They used a vinyl top for the VIP sedan, but the wagon missed out - all it received were three horizontal strips on the rear guards and a badge to differentiate it from the Regal. Even in 1976, the US front-ends were underwhelming, but I guess they weren't spending any money on a car near the end of its run.
