Yes JW, the 1985 Group A race with the TWR Jags was sensational, but as history shows it was also Group A's zenith in Australia because as Skylark mentions it was all largely downhill from there (apart from Holden's 1990 Bathurst win) with the dominance of turbocharged imports. Nissan was ahead of its time with the turbo Bluebirds it ran in Group C, but they were always fragile with the huge turbochargers they needed to be outright contenders. I'll never forget George Fury's sensational Bathurst pole position in the 1984 Top 10 shootout, when in freezing conditions he ran big boost to topple the normally dominant V8s? Fury's rally-honed car control was beyond belief and a joy to watch!
