David, it is good to hear of your relative's positive experience. I have more time on my hands these days so we use the Tesla as much as possible at home in lieu of the petrol cars. I do not miss the service stations or handing over my money. Madmuz, you have good ideas. Apparently a happy Tesla is a plugged in Tesla. If you are chasing extreme longevity, it is better to plug the car in whenever possible. I have the harness hanging near the back of the car so it is natural to plug it in or out as I leave or arrive home. It is on a timer for daytime charging.
