Blinkie I reckon that Mk.1 Corty would have been a rocket with the V8 ! As for the "Val" you can't kill them, though many have tried! My late younger brother had a VG Wagon similar to the one in the photo below and as well as daily driver it was used three times towing a big trailer full of furniture to move house for three different people including me and one of the trips was interstate.
