However, CAMS in its infinite wisdom decided that its huge NASCAR-style 33s on the side were not legal, as the rulebook clearly stated that competition numbers had to be white on a black background or black on a white background, and of a much smaller size. So, they were replaced by much smaller versions after Bathurst which killed the magic of that ground-breaking livery.
