A few days ago my son and I took the original blue Tesla from Adelaide to the beginning of the Great Ocean Road along to Lorne and then Melbourne. Tesla Superchargers made the trip easy. Entering the destinations, the navigation system planned the charge points and optimal charging times. Stops generally coincided with lunch which we had at nearby bakeries and cafes while the car charged. At Lorne, the last coastal stop, we charged the car overnight from a powerpoint in the hotel carpark rather than attending one of the public chargers. The real world range was around 400km. We drove normally rather than for economy. The car itself was excellent. The lack of engine noise and vibration, solid stability, good ride, precise steering, good seats and sound system made the drive enjoyable and reduced fatigue.
