PonyRider, the 928 has aged very well in appearance. The design was ahead of its time with the integrated urethane bumpers and the way the dashboard blended into the doors. It was a very sophisticated car but I would be afraid to own one now. Looking through an old book of mine, the original manual 928 accelerated to 60mph in 7.0 seconds and the V12 manual Jaguar XJS in 6.7 seconds. The test drivers were dissapointed and were expecting more from the new Porsche. Perhaps it was like the original 924 in that it took time to evolve into something special?
