Sounds correct to me too. Being so easy to keep charged, I tend to drive the car the way that I want with little regard to energy use. It is difficult to resist the temptation to accelerate quickly to the limit. Driving at 40-50km/h with anything power sapping turned off, I could probably hypermile around 900km which is good to know if the range is looking tight. Madmuz, I will have to do my own little test loop. You are right madmuz, the right tool for the right job. I cannot expect the Tesla or any of my other cars to be supreme at everything. PonyRider, you would love a Tesla. The Long Range and Performance variants have a super sound system, but even that in my brother's base model sounds quite good to my (musically uneducated) ears. As a side note, I have seen a few of the little Citroen Ami EVs that we discussed a while back. Perfect for tight European streets and I reckon that they would even be popular back home.
