Thanks Mark - here's a great pic of a Chev Blitz doing what it did best, still fighting fires twenty years after the war. There was a fire near our farm on a hot day just after a couple of day's rain. The top of the grass was tinder dry, but all the Internationals, Dodges and Austins were sinking, while the old Chev kept up with the fire while towing another truck at the same time. At the age of about 17 at the time, I was pretty impressed with a truck the same age as me.
