I owned and raced one of these in Western Australia from 1985 to 1987. It was the former Chris Clearihan car, fitted with a 302 Chev engine. It needed a real point and squirt technique to drive it, and a two-footed brake technique to slow it down! Mark was right about the heat, too - it got pretty toasty in the cabin. But it was very successful, particularly in 1987 when we won the State Street Car Championship, and 21 out of 23 races that year. I sold it in 1988 and it went to Victoria where it was restored as a road / track day car. Great memories.
