I have owned an rx8 since 2005 purchased brand new.My experience with the car is that it requires special understanding specific to the maintenance of the rotary engine,which is something that a number of people are not prepared to undertake which I believe has been unfairly detrimental to the RX8 status in some opinions,however for those that are rotary enthusiasts and maintain them as required it is a different opinion.I have owned a number of sports cars in my time and can honestly say that the rx8 is lovely sports car and its handling is second only to my Porsche Turbo
