Mike, the car had a good review but what grabbed my attention in the article was this quote; "Strategically, Beijing concluded long ago that they couldn’t catch up with the German and Japanese-based giants in traditional, internal combustion-engined vehicles, and sought to leapfrog them into electrification". This would also have been Australia's opportunity. The Chinese BYD models coming here will be well priced and are certain to encroach into internal combustion vehicle sales at under $40000. According to the company that sells them, they will begin Australian manufacture at some point. https://thedriven.io/2021/08/03/byd-e6-is-now-australias-cheapest-passenger-electric-vehicle/
