Hi again John, Thankyou for your reply, as it was very, very, much appreciated. When I bought the 07/1988 EA Falcon "S" in August 2020 on Facebook marketplace, the suspension was standard Falcon "S" at the rear, but had been fitted with superlow at the front. However, when I bought the car there was some discussion that the lowered with Bilstein suspension was swapped over to another enthusiast car prior to it being sold, leaving the EA that I bought with more standard type suspension. There was a very nice looking Momo 4 spoke steering wheel (picture attached) on the EA when I bought it, and it is still on the car in excellent condition. I had always wondered was this steering wheel a special "prototype", as it is very similar to what was factory fitted to the later EB (or ED ?) Falcon S XR6, as well as other TICKFORD E-series Falcon models. In February 2022 the head gasket failed. I cancelled the rego, as there were other expensive repairs needed to pass rego that I couldn't afford. My son repaired the blown head gasket at his property near Kempsey in August 2022. He also made other repairs as well, including fitting standard EA Falcon "S" front and rear suspension (OEM one inch lower than standard Falcon). In September 2020, after those repairs, the car drove very good. However, due to a possible fuel, or electrical problem, the car broke down driving home. Since then, due to other commitments, the EA has been sitting in my driveway (undriven and underpaid) from September 2022 until a few weeks ago in June 2024, when I gave the car to my son. The car is now at my son's home in Kempsey, near Port Macquarie, NSW. He has possible plans to repair the EA Falcon "S" again. He also understands the rarity, as well as the important history, of this EA Falcon "S", including your previous ownership and your amazing article of how it was a "press test vehicle". If you wish to add any other information regarding the car's history it would be very welcome. Many thanks again John. Kind Regards, Col.
