Those VTII Commodore Executive V8s were a step up in the power department, and whilst I believe they had FE2 suspension adjustments, the cars still ran the basic Holden brakes and familiar 15" steel rims with 205/65R15 tyres ... it's hard not to argue that cost parameters were at play in the specification of the police fleet. It's difficult to predict what the future holds for the local police fleet, as we also have quite a few Ford Territory units in place too, and of course they'll be going the same way as the Falcon in 2016. The other publicly obvious fleet consideration is the taxi industry and in this respect, WA has already moved in a new direction courtesy of The London Taxi Company (of China) ... here's a pic of the new boys arriving in town and a story piece too ... http://www.ozcabbie.com/perth-first-aussie-city-to-have-fleet-of-london-s-iconic-black-cab-tx4s
