Perhaps once in a lifetime you get a chance to see a very special car. Around 1962 our Vintage Car Club was invited to a big rally in Brisbane. Among hundreds of cars there was huge 1922 Italian S.P.A. tourer, the most important car on display that day. There were lots of stories going around about it, but I understand a Brisbane Doctor was touring Europe and went to an Italian Motor Show and saw the new chassis on the S.P.A. stand. He immediately fell in love with it and bought it on the spot. The chosen body was built by Farina (Stabilimenti) and he went home to wait for his new car. When I saw it the car was completely original. Remember that was 60 years ago. The photo is the car.
