This was a factory Ford colour for XD, XE & I think was still available on the early XF range as well. It was not confined to Police/Government department orders alone as the general public could choose this colour as well. Some of the other states ordered their XD & XE's in Yellow Blaze which was an XB colour from years earlier. Kind of like the VH & VK Victorian cars that were painted Absinth Yellow which was off the earlier HQ & HJ Holden colour chart. The car in picture below with officer standing beside is Saffron, the other (obviously someone's project) is Yellow Blaze.
