Oh, somehow I posted my piece without the nominated images, which I'll fix now. And, as for complying with Motown's request for mention of a favourite Benz, I guess I'd have to follow Joe's lead and vote for the original "Gullwing" related W198 series 300SL roadster ... you get all the engineering benefits, plus ventilation :-) ... and four wheel disc brakes too, if you manage to score one of the late build cars from 1962/63.
