There a few cars with aircraft motors that come to mind even if we confine ourselves to Australia. Rod Hadfield has been responsible for two with his Rolls Royce Merlin powered 1955 Chevrolet coupe and a Packard based special with a Rolls Royce Meteor up front. There is also the MAB Special built by Stuart Saunders with a WW1 Liberty aircraft engine and an air cooled Gypsy Major engine in a racing special seen at Winton. Aircraft engines also ruled the land speed record books prior to WW2.
