I have had some experience with Fairladys. Firstly, a 1966 Datsun 1600 Fairly with the higher windscreen. Steering, brakes, clutch and suspension were all "hard & heavy" and I absolutely loved it. Secondly, 1986 Nissan Z31 200ZS Fairlady with the 2 litre turbo V6 and 5 speed manual. I usually keep a vehicle for no more than 5 years but this was so much fun and went like stink, that I kept it for 15 years with no problems. I thought that was the end of Fairladys for me and somehow talked myself into a 350Z (known as Fairlady Zed) in Japan. This is the most inconvenient car I have ever owned, no room for the dog, grandchildren or groceries, 98 unleaded fuel, sunburn with the roof down and in all I LOVE IT!!
