Good morning Mike and PonyRider. In an EV, the electric motor can be finely controlled which is an advantage to traction control systems. The car handily has a defrost setting in the smart phone for the interior, glass, mirrors and if necessary it will heat the battery before departure. I used it in T1 in rural Victoria along with turning the seat heaters on. A bit of decadence. In the attached photo from the screen of my smartphone, you can see a button to open the driver's door. That is in case the door handle is frozen. The release is electromechanical.
