Not an SUV of course, and yes a more luxurious van (a mini-van I suppose you could say) - it's commercial brother was the Commer Cob and many would have had a rear seat and windows added to save on purchase tax compared to the 'passenger' Husky version (I think this would have been the case in Australia as it was in the UK). Note that the Minx station wagon didn't appear until the Audax Minx generation a couple of years after the Husky. There was a Minx Estate sold though, which was a passenger version of the Commer Express van - with the higher roof there was no mistaking the van origins there, at least the Husky had a normal roof height. I've always drawn a comparison to the Mitsubishi Mirage when it was a shorter hatch version of the Lancer sedan/wagon. Silvercloud has shown the Sunbeam Alpine that infamously shared wheelbase/floorpan with the Husky. One of Huskys I've come across had a 1725 engine with twin carbs, overdrive etc so very much a hardtop Alpine.
