Yes, I well remember Saab in its prime prior to the GM sale. They were great cars of impressive quality. I was working for Peter Janson in Melbourne in the early 1980s when he was proud owner of an extremely rare Enduro model, which from what I recall was based on the 900 Turbo. Janson had some promotional deal going with Saab at the time, which is why he ended up with an Enduro. They were commissioned by Saab Australia and I think only 12 were built. They were wild looking things with big fiberglass wheel arch extensions and front and rear spoilers, plus higher boost pressure with water injection, fat Simmons wheels, uprated suspension, extra gauges etc. It was an amazing thing to drive. I've never seen one since but they would have to be among the rarest and most collectable pre-GM Saabs.
